Hotel Messmer in Bregenz

Nice hotel. Very simple and exactly what we needed for a one night stay; it was two adults and a toddler. They are doing some renovations, which would have been a nice heads up when we exited the elevator haha but I’m sure it’ll be a nice upgrade once finished! The bartender was the highlight, he was very attentive and polite! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This hotel was recommended to us by staff at the Post Bezau for our onward journey to Bregenz. A great recommendation! The location is fantastic, right downtown near restaurants (I recommend the Poseidon a block away, and the Wirtshaus am See, a short walk away along the lakeshore), shops, and museums. It's very close to a train station, where you can head out to Lindau in Germany, or to Switzerland. The hotel also rented us e-bikes for touring around the Bodensee shore. Breakfast at the hotel is wonderful, and the staff are helpful. From the hotel it is only a short walk to the cable car that will take you to the Pfänder mountain with its beautiful views, hiking trails, and alpine wildlife. The hotel is also very close to the port, which offers cruises and ferries across the Bodensee. A perfect spot to stay in this lovely Austrian city on the lake!

First class hospitality! I had a later travel. Even though I had to check out at noon they let me use the sauna until I had to leave at 2 pm. They had to turn it in and since it took 20 minutes for that they gave a coupon for a free drink at the bar. The sauna is quiet and clean and they supply robes and towels. Front desk is super friendly and breakfast is diverse.
